ABOUT STEVE GOODMAN
Steve Goodman has been a photographer since the age of ten. He is an American ex-pat living in Phnom Penh, Cambodia where he works as a photographer. Steve holds a Bachelors degree from the University of Pittsburgh in Philosophy and English literature.
Steve worked for twenty years as a successful software and Internet company executive, but has lived, traveled and photographed extensively in Southeast Asia since 2002.

BACKGROUND
I was born in Detroit and have also lived in New London Connecticut, Pittsburgh Pennsylvania, Cleveland Ohio, Atlanta Georgia, San Francisco California, Bangkok Thailand and Phnom Penh Cambodia where I’ve been living and working for the past two and a half years.
For more than 20 years I lived a rather conventional life with a career in sales, marketing and management of high-tech hardware, software and Internet companies.
For the past six years I have been tking a “sabbatical” to travel and develop my skills as photographic craftsmen and artist.
I’m a very lucky guy and I aspire to establish a new career as a professional photographer in Asia.
I have traveled extensively in the United States, Canada, England, France, Germany, the Netherlands, Japan, Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Myanmar (Burma), Laos, Cambodia, Viet Nam, Nepal and India.
I spend my time doing photography, learning, reading, playing guitar, conversing, listening to music, traveling, meditating and walking around to see what’s going on in our world of inestimable beauty.
I majored in Philosophy and still putter away at it in my mind and I’ve got a soft spot in my heart for Buddhism and I studied with the 14th Dalai Lama at his temple near Dharamsala in India a few years ago.
I’ve been a photographer since I was about ten years old and I think my first camera was a Polaroid Swinger. In junior high school I was the president of the camera club.
Making photographs is my favorite activity. It is a transcendental Zen-like experience to compose and shoot photos and also to view them once they are printed or published.
My photographs fall into a variety of categories: portraits, street photography, social documentary, photojournalism, urban landscape, portraits and fine art, as well as editorial, advertising and commercial work.
My attitude towards working for a client is to deliver outstanding service and a final product that meets your specific requirements on-time and on-budget.
I will focus on gaining a superior understanding of your communications goals and objectives so that the photographs I produce for you will serve as powerfully effective components of your overall communications strategy and specific programs.
